What is Pi?

  1. Here is my digital story telling project.

I made some of the slides using Powerpoint and others using Explain Everything on my Ipad. Using Screen Record, an Apple app I was able to turn them into movie clips. Using IMovie I was able to pull the clips together and add music. I had intended to talk on a few parts, IMovie has a feature where you can add voice overs, but my voice is shot due to a head cold but I was able to add pop ups and scrolling comments where I would have talked. I love IMovie and will use it again. I went from having no clue how to use it to feeling like a pro after a few days of playing around. I probably over used music and the Pi song is a little long but overall I'm happy with it.

  2. Terrence,
Wow...this is great. I think it is important to mix it up with the videos you make for your students...I think the call outs and scrolling text working really well, so the narration was needed? I subscribed to your Youtube channel...I hope to see more.
    Bravo!

    1. Thanks. It was a fun project and definitely consumed me for a few days. I think if my wife heard me playing the Young Folks whistling song or the Lose Yourself parody one more time she would have smashed my MacBook with a bat.

  3. This was really cool! I like how it was fast paced from one screen to the next...to help keep students from getting bored. This should definitely help to keep their attention! Great job!

  4. I love this! I agree with Lisa about it being face paced. That's a great way to keep students engaged. I also LOVE the pie song to the melody of Eminem's "Lose Yourself!!" THAT'S AWESOME! Where did you find that?! High School kids will loved it! You'll be an awesome math teacher!

    Great Job!
